Accelerating the Energy Transition
This year’s programme highlights how we can accelerate the energy transition in Sweden and Europe – from strategy to implementation. Across three thematic blocks, we address current issues such as energy security, competitiveness, the evolving electricity market, and the path toward more efficient permitting processes.
For the first time, the conference is held under the name Green Power Sweden Summit, marking a new chapter for the energy sector’s most important meeting place. Following the merger of Svensk Vindenergi (Swedish Wind Energy Association) and Nätverket för solparker (Solar Park Network), the conference has broadened – both in content and perspective. This is reflected in the programme: actors from across the energy system gather to explore synergies, solutions, and pathways forward.
Special focus is placed on the EU’s increased ambition and how Swedish policy, industry, and planning can rise to the pace of the European transition. From geopolitical shifts to local implementation – the programme spans both strategic and practical discussions on building the electricity system of the future.
Below is an overview of the three thematic blocks featured on Day 2 of the summit. Sessions within each block will be presented and updated on an ongoing basis. Information about Day 1 will be published at a later stage.
Please note that the programme is preliminary and will be updated continuously. Speakers and sessions will be announced throughout the summer.

Day 2
09:00
Energy Security and Competitiveness in a Greener Europe
Energy policy has become a matter of both security and competitiveness. In this block, we focus on how the deployment of renewable electricity generation and system solutions can strengthen Europe’s resilience, reduce import dependency, while laying the foundations for the industry of the future.
We highlight the role of the energy system in a new security policy landscape, discuss how renewable electricity and storage and flexibility technologies can drive green growth, and highlight the interplay between energy policy, geopolitics and industrial development. The block also includes Nordic and European perspectives on co-operation, planning and governance – at a time when Europe’s green transition needs to move faster than ever.
A Changing Electricity Market – The Path to Increased Demand and Sustainable Investments
How do we boost demand for electricity – and what will it take to realise these investments? Against the backdrop of the EU’s common energy transition targets, we focus on what it will take to turn these targets into concrete, long-term competitive investments in the energy system.
This block starts from the perspective of the actors: industry, investors, energy companies and policy makers. We explore how the electricity market of the future can evolve to create the right drivers for both production and consumption, with particular attention to how EU regulations and targets affect market dynamics.
The focus lies on opportunities for long-term investment, responsibility and risk sharing between different actors, and how new solutions – from contractual arrangements to hybrid parks – can help accelerate the transition. At the same time, we broaden the perspective: we highlight how investments in electricity generation create added value for climate, nature and society – in line with the EU’s ambitions for sustainability and competitiveness.
From Permits to Reality – Solutions for an Efficient Energy Transition
Making the energy transition a reality requires effective processes and solutions that can meet the EU’s ambitious targets for a faster and more sustainable energy transition. In this block, we focus on the challenges and opportunities in bringing renewable electricity generation from concept to realisation, in line with the EU’s strategy to reach climate targets and ensure the energy transition across Europe.
We explore how the new proposals in the the Swedish Environmental Permitting Inquiry may affect long-term development, and how Sweden can adapt its authorisation processes to match the increased pace at EU level. In addition, we explore how grid expansion and energy planning can be crucial to creating a sustainable and efficient energy transition that meets both national and EU needs.
The block also highlights the central role of public authorities in the process and discusses how close co-operation between actors at both national and EU level, as well as better allocation of resources, can help accelerate the achievement of our common goals for a green and competitive future.
On Stage
We are proud to present a growing lineup of key industry actors, policymakers, and experts shaping the future of energy. The list will be continuously updated as more speakers are confirmed. Stay tuned for the full program.
